How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and secure the platform.
• Create and maintain your account, profiles, and records.
• Help you discover schools and organizations and manage your interactions with them.
• Deliver features you request, including communications, payments, and AI-assisted functionality.
• Maintain application history, support users, and improve the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the platform.

Accounts and Profiles

You create a Sovoli account and control the information you maintain within it. You may add, update, or remove information in your own profiles and related records, subject to the retention of records needed to operate the platform or meet legal obligations.

Applications and Enrollment Information

When you begin an application, inquiry, enrollment request, or form, the information may exist in Sovoli before it is submitted to an organization. You decide when to submit that information, and Sovoli presents disclosure at the point of submission so you understand what will be shared.

Sharing Information With Schools and Organizations

Users may use Sovoli to discover and interact with schools and businesses. Information can exist in Sovoli before it is submitted to an organization. Users choose when to submit an application, inquiry, enrollment request, form, or other information.

Sovoli provides notice during the relevant workflow that the information will be shared. Once submitted, the receiving organization may process the information for purposes such as admissions, enrollment, communications, assessment, or service delivery. The receiving organization may have its own privacy obligations and policies. Sovoli may continue retaining and processing relevant information to provide platform functionality, maintain application history, support the user, secure the platform, or comply with legal requirements.

The receiving organization is responsible for how it uses information after receiving it, subject to applicable law. Sovoli does not claim to own user information, and schools do not universally own all information stored on Sovoli. Rather, users control whether their information is submitted to participating organizations, and organizations become responsible for the information they receive.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate infrastructure and provide platform features. For more information about the service providers used to operate Sovoli, see our Subprocessors page.

AI Features

Some Sovoli functionality uses third-party AI providers. Information is sent only when necessary to perform a user-requested AI function, and the amount and context sent should be limited to what the feature requires. Ordinary use of Sovoli does not automatically send every user's stored information to an AI provider. Sovoli does not intentionally opt customer API data into model training.

Analytics

We use product analytics to understand how the platform is used and to improve it. Analytics are based on usage events and associated device and interaction metadata, not on the full contents of information you submit to organizations.

Communications

We use contact information to send transactional messages related to your account, applications, and requested services, and to enable messaging with organizations through integrations such as WhatsApp where enabled. You may manage communication preferences where applicable.

Payments

Where payments are processed through Sovoli, payment details are handled by the relevant payment provider and related records are retained as needed to complete transactions, provide support, and meet legal and financial obligations.

Data Retention

We retain information while necessary to provide the platform and requested services. Some records may remain available because they are connected to applications, transactions, communications, security events, or legal obligations. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or recovery systems according to provider retention schedules.

International Processing

Sovoli uses service providers located in different regions. Depending on the feature and provider, information may be processed in the United States, Europe, or other regions where the relevant service operates. We rely on our providers' infrastructure and safeguards for cross-region processing.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, which can include access to, correction of, and deletion of your personal information, as well as objection or restriction of certain processing. You may request export or deletion where applicable, and you control whether to submit information to schools and other organizations. For deletion requests, follow our data deletion instructions. Children and Student Information

Because Sovoli serves schools, parents or guardians may provide information about children when applying to or interacting with schools. This may include identity, date of birth, academic, enrollment, contact, and other application information. Some information may be sensitive depending on what a school requests.

Sovoli makes the information available to the selected organization when the user submits it. Schools are responsible for how they subsequently use information they receive through the platform. Sovoli does not claim parental consent mechanisms or compliance certifications that are not actually implemented.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
